Receiving Your Voice: From Inner Signal to Knowing

  • Virtual over Zoom (map)

How often do we speak before we have truly listened to ourselves?

We may know how to explain what we think. We may know the language of our families, our culture, our spiritual traditions, our teachers, or the communities we belong to. We may even be very good at putting things into words.

But beneath all of that is another question:

Can we hear our own inner signal clearly enough to recognize what is actually true for us?

Many of us learned early to look outside ourselves for the right answer. We were told what we felt, what we meant, what was acceptable to think, what was safe to question, and how we were expected to respond. Over time, those outside voices can become so familiar that we begin repeating what we have heard before we have had a chance to discover our own perspective.

We may edit ourselves before we hear ourselves.

We may rush to make sense of something before it has fully formed.

We may speak while already monitoring how we sound, whether we are making sense, or whether what is emerging is acceptable.

And in all of that activity, the original signal can become difficult to hear.

This month, as we tune the field on the left, receptive side of the throat, we'll listen for the places where that pathway has become crowded with old instructions, inherited language, self-censorship, and the habit of reaching outward before listening within.

We’ll unwind what we find so that we can:

Listen Within

Let the Signal Take Form

Discern What Is Yours

Receive Your Own Voice

Sometimes our inner signal does not arrive as a complete thought. It may begin as a sensation, a feeling, a question, an image, a hesitation, a word, or something we cannot yet explain.

When we stay receptive, expression itself can become part of the listening.

We receive. We give form. We hear. We recognize. We receive more deeply.

And slowly, our own truth and perspective become more intelligible to us.

Perhaps the work is not to find a voice we lost.

Perhaps it is to unwind what has kept us from hearing the voice that has been there all along.

Come exactly as you are. Allow the field to do the rest.
